Gourley Vets reopens after full refurbishment
Gourley Vets in Ashton-under-Lyne has undergone a complete refurbishment to transform its practice and continue to serve the local area.
Taking three months and costing £700,000, the practice has been redesigned and refurbished with the very latest facilities and equipment, in order that it can accommodate more clients and offer more veterinary services to their pets.
For clients and pets entering the building, the reception area has been reconfigured to be more spacious, with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs to keep stress to a minimum for these patients.
Internally, the layout of the building has been altered to create five modern consulting rooms, whereas previously there were three. These include a dedicated consulting room for nurse clinics in order that new services can be run, comprising; healthy pet club checks, weight management and general health enquiries.
Behind the scenes, two operating theatres have been completely refurbished along with a dedicated dental room to incorporate digital dental X-ray. Refurbished preparation areas, walk in kennels for larger dogs, an isolation unit and a staff hub have been added. In addition, the practice has invested in cutting edge equipment to diagnose and treat its animal patients, in the form of ultrasound, endoscopy, digital X-ray, dental X-ray and specialised ophthalmology equipment.
The veterinary practice has also been given a complete refresh, with new heating and air conditioning installed for patient and client comfort.
